Compared effects of six sessions of group counseling of nine chronic home hemodialysis patients with a comparable no treatment control group. Comparisons revealed no significant differences between groups. This article reports on a follow-up survey of disabled individuals discharged from an aftercare hospital residence program, who had begun a program for independent living to support their vocational development. Measures of independent behavior were related to client independence after discharge from the rehabilitation setting. (Author)
