Tests the utility of two models for explaining contraceptive use by sexually active women (N=391). Significant relationships were found between use and permissive premarital standards and standard-behavior consistency. A survey of 344 college students revealed 36.71 percent reported having used minor tranquilizers. Among those who acquired tranquilizers by their own prescription, the vast majority used them from others' prescriptions or black market sources, used them for pleasure. (Author)

Rosen, Gerald M.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1977
A 2-year follow-up questionnaire was sent to subjects originally tested by Rosen, Glasgow, and Barrera. Initial treatment gains for self- and therapist-directed desensitization subjects were maintained. Posttest behavior approach scores were not predictive of real-life behavioral change as reported at follow-up. (Author)

Ex-smokers (N = 61) who had stopped smoking as part of a televised "clinic" were assigned to either a tape-reinforcement or nonreinforcement condition and were followed up a month later. The goal of this study was to identify relationships among the counseling behaviors of practicum trainees and the supervision behaviors of their supervisors during a one-semester counseling practicum.
