Johnson, Richard W. – 1968
The predictive validities of various SVIB academic interest scales were assessed with first semester freshman males at the University of Massachusetts. Both the Rust and Ryan and the Campbell and Johansson scales contributed significantly, albeit modestly, to a multiple correlation coefficient consisting of high school rank and scholastic aptitude…

Campbell, David P.; And Others – 1967
This is a report of the development of a system of scoring the Strong Vocational Interest Blank (SVIB) for Men. The scales which were developed supplement the occupational scales. Lunneborg, Clifford E.; Lunneborg, Patricia W. – Journal of Vocational Behavior, 1978
To find evidence of generalizability of four interest factors established for tests within the Roe-Holland framework, factor scores derived from a Vocational Interest Inventory grounded in Roe's system were correlated with Strong-Campbell Occupational scale scores. For this sample of 300 counseling clients, a majority of the hypothesized relations…

Tittle, Carol Kehr; And Others – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1978
Scale scores of KOIS profiles of 202 reentry women were converted to within individual form by means of a z-score transformation. Seven factors emerged on the female-normed scales and 11 factors on the male-normed scales. Four factors were similar in both norm sets and two showed some overlap. (Author)

Schoon, Craig G. – Journal of Vocational Behavior, 1978
The structure of interests can be conceived of as a structure of occupational stimuli embedded within the matrix of affective responses which they produce. Three dimensions of affect are used as the axes of a semantic space within which the occupational stimuli are located according to their unique affective meaning. (Author)

Cappeto, Michael A. – Journal of College Placement, 1978
Employers who use career interest tests as part of a battery of tests are cautioned not to interpret results literally. Because of the error noted in test results, other indices of career interest should be weighed heavily. (Author)

Hansen, Jo-Ida C. – Measurement and Evaluation in Guidance, 1978
Three age groups in six occupational samples were tested on the SCII and their scale scores were examined for significant differences. Data indicates that interests generally are not different for people of different ages in the same occupation. (Author)
