To test the stability of role perception, multidimensional scaling analyses were applied to family role constructs (Mother, Father, etc.) based on data from two methods which differed significantly in terms of the types of judgements of stimulus dissimilarity which were required. (Author)

Two studies were conducted that explored observers' perceptions of responsibility of a victim for her involvement in a premeditated crime. Male and female college students listened to tapes of a purported victim describing a crime (either a rape or a mugging). There was general tendency toward a sympathetic reaction pattern. (Author)

Assessed the effects of two types of communicative cues on perceptions of dominance. Subjects viewed stimulus tapes of controlled conversations and rated each speaker.
