This report summarizes findings from AIR's 2013 report analyzing the effectiveness of AISD's implementation of SEL. Five major findings of the 2013 AIR report are presented, along with additional considerations.

This report describes performance for schools, classrooms, and students at AISD REACH schools, compared with that of students at similar comparison schools. Results suggest REACH likely facilitated meaningful improvements over time.

Results from the AISD 2011-2012 school year pilot teacher appraisal system suggest peer, administrator, and student feedback are valuable tools that can be used with Student Learning Objectives and value added data to provide a holistic evaluation of teachers in AISD.

This project combines qualitative and quantitative data to provide a comprehensive examination of mentoring practice in an attempt to understand the ways in which mentoring leads to positive outcomes for beginning teachers and their students in AISD during 2010-2011.
