Individually Guided Education (IGE) has been promoted to schools through two agencies: The Institute for Development of Educational Activities, Inc. (I/D/E/A/), and Wisconsin R & D Center for Individualized Schooling. The problems IGE has experienced and the role of the supervisor are discussed. (Author/MLF)

Reviews the focus of past publications and conferences of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and concludes that curriculum has received much more attention than supervision has. Argues that continued overemphasis on curriculum will eventually lead to the demise of innovation in both curriculum and supervision. (JG)
