The University of Southwestern Louisiana has made a previously required language laboratory course an elective course and has changed the regular two-hour-per-week requirement for those who enroll to a twenty-hour semester total requirement. In order to offer students more stimulating lab learning, teachers at the University of Hawaii have developed the "lab sheet," a procedure that combines listening and writing skills.
