An aspect of construct validity of the six scales of the Career Maturity Inventory was investigated with 127 ninth-grade students. Surveyed the vocational developmental pattern of Nigerian students (N=400) using the Career Maturity Inventory (Crites). Results indicated the overall vocational maturity showed a prototypic pattern of progressive increase by age, but especially by grade.
