Describes the writing center funded for the Bristol (Pennsylvania) High School when the school district adopted writing across the curriculum. Examples of ways in which the center is used and both student and teacher reactions to these activities are given. Information on six desktop publishing programs is provided. (DB)

Presented are students perceptions of CMC, a computer system using PLATO to set up a communications link between students in high school. A close-up of the CMC community, perceived CMC characteristics, comparisons of CMC with other media, and CMC's impact on the school environment are described. (MDH)
