Bresciani, Marilee J.; Duncan, Allison J.; Cao, Liu Hui – About Campus, 2010

Nehrke, Milton F.; And Others – Omega: Journal of Death and Dying, 1978
In order to test Erikson's statements regarding ego integrity vs. despair, 20 men and 20 women from each of three residential settings (general community, public housing and nursing homes) were given life satisfaction, locus of control and death anxiety scales. Phillips, Walter M. – Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1980

Control of private life and involvement in public life is regarded as an important condition of subjective well-being, especially for adolescents. A survey on control attributions was administered to 1,902 adolescents between the ages of 14 and 20 in Switzerland. The survey included a separate questionnaire designed to provide six measures of…

Baum, Steven K. – 1981
Although researchers have investigated the chronological age-subjective age discrepancy in several ways, they have, for the most part, ignored where and how older persons live. The lifestyles of elderly Los Angeles residents (N=308), i.e., institutionalized, socially active in the community, or socially inactive in the community, were taken into…

Hollinger, Constance L.; Fleming, Elyse S. – Gifted Child Quarterly, 1988
The study examined the antecedents and correlates of general life satisfaction as reported by 108 gifted and talented young women. Results of the six-year longitudinal analyses supported the predicted centrality of instrumental self perception to social self esteem, occupational confidence, and general life satisfaction.
