A total of 38 high school and 53 college students and 30 adults were asked to rate the words "youth,""adolescent,""teenager" and "adult" on 16 scales of semantic differential in an effort to test the hypotheses that attitudes towards adolescents are more favorable than commonly believed. (MS)

Change in adolescent female's perceptions of adolescent males was determined by pretesting three days prior to sexual integration of a residential school for delinquent females and posttesting two months after this event. Findings suggest that sexual integration of adolescent reform institutions is effective in avoiding sex-role diffusion. (GO)
