The law clearly states how assistive technology is to be used for children with learning disabilities. This article focuses upon the different types of technology that can be used for children with learning disabilities and provides an overview of the different types of technology available. A creative drama program for eight secondary school aged severely physically handicapped students is described. The 20-session program is explained to have focused on effective communication through such drama activities as sensory exploration tasks, poetry, pantomime and improvisation.
