In this study, 160 college students were asked to respond to their modes of expressing hostility. Subjects revealed differential modes of expressing hostility. Delivered stimuli within an aggressive or nonaggressive setting and with or without affect. Examined Type A behavior as measured by Matthews Youth Test for Health and hyperactivity scores as measured by Conners Teacher Rating Scale for 199 primary grade students. In this study a male experimenter's style of dress had significant influence upon the number of agreements from older and younger women to answer the interviewer's questions and no influence upon men. Older individuals were more influenced by clothing than were younger ones. Results are discussed. (Author)
