NASP's Updated Self-Assessment for School Psychologists
Affrunti, Nicholas; Rossen, Eric
Communique, v50 n3 p20-21 Nov 2021
In 2011, National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) launched its first online self-assessment tool to help school psychologists evaluate their own practices across the 10 domains outlined in the "Model for Comprehensive and Integrated School Psychological Services," also referred to as the NASP Practice Model. Since NASP approved the 2020 standards, the self-assessment tool has undergone a revision to reflect the new standards and allow a more streamlined user experience. The updated self-assessment prompts users to identify whether they engage in various activities aligned with the NASP Practice Model (2020). All participants receive a personalized summary at the completion of the self-assessment. This article summarizes the updated self-assessment tool.
