The report that follows is a doctoral project completed in partial fulfillment of the Doctor of Education degree at Saint Louis University. The research was conducted by a team of three doctoral candidates and examined the best practices and barriers to collective teacher efficacy and their implications for leadership in one Midwestern state's schools. Contained within the report is a presentation of foundational literature, which provided the basis for the team's investigation. Research included the administration of surveys to one Midwestern's school principals as well as follow-up interviews for those who desired to share additional insight on their responses. The findings are detailed in a report that follows along with an analysis and discussion of the significance of the findings for one Midwestern's school principals. Recommendations have been made for further research into the best practices and barriers to collective teacher efficacy and their implications for leadership in one Midwestern's state schools.
