Investigated the decline in scholastic achievement by analyzing the lower Scholastic Aptitude Test scores. Results indicate value transitions are responsible. While "old values" continue to be taught, evidence shows that "new values" of conformity and collective attainment have supplanted self-reliance. (Author)
