Huberty, Carl J.; Curry, Allen R. – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1978
Classification is a procedure through which individuals are classified as being members of a particular group based on a variety of independent variables. Two methods of makin such classifications are discussed; the quadratic method is seen to be superior to the linear under certain constraints. (JKS)

Rock, Donald A.; And Others – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1978
Systematic procedures are outlined for testing the assumption made on the dependent variables in a variety of statistical techniques. Specifically, procedures are outlined for testing the assumption that the dependent variables are measuring the same constructs in the same metrics with equivalent reliabilities across all subgroups. Thompson, Bruce – 1989
Canonical correlation analysis is a sophisticated multivariate technique that subsumes all parametric methods (the "t"-test, analysis of variance, analysis of covariance, multivariate analysis of variance, multivariate analysis of covariance, and discriminant analysis) as special cases. This bibliography lists 83 applications of…

Huberty, Carl J.; Curry, Allen R. – 1975
A linear classification rule (used with equal covariance matrices) was contrasted with a quadratic rule (used with unequal covariance matrices) for accuracy of internal and external classification. The comparisons were made for seven situations which resulted from combining three data conditions (equal and unequal covariance matrices, minimal and…

Cassel, Russell N. – 1971
This paper relates educational and psychological statistics to certain "Research Statistical Tools" (RSTs) necessary to accomplish and understand general research in the behavioral sciences. Emphasis is placed on acquiring an effective understanding of the RSTs and to this end they are are ordered to a continuum scale in terms of individual…

Kleinke, David J. – 1971
Change Group Analysis is suggested as a technique for examining the correlates of the differential effects of a compensatory education program within the group of enrolled pupils. It is based on using pretest-posttest relative changes for forming criterion groups and then using multiple disciminant analysis to uncover patterns of predictor…

Cherukupalle, Nirmala devi – 1970
This bibliography contains works that illustrate and apply multivariate statistical methods in the analysis of empirical data in the field of urban and regional planning. The bibliography has been designed for use by planning students and the professional planner. The first section of the bibliography lists some elementary and intermediate level…
