American college students (N=77) enrolled in a semester-at-sea program rated four target groups before and after exposure in their own national settings, on a rating instrument designed to discriminate between descriptive and evaluative judgments in stereotyping. Tenth and twelfth grade males and females who knew each other judged, within grade levels, their classmates on physical attractiveness (PA), perceived attitude similarity (PAS), and interpersonal attraction (IA). The Cornell Parent Behavior Inventory and Moral Dilemmas Test were administered to 146 girls and 123 boys in New Zealand. Boys with high parental support factor scores had higher mean scores on the Moral Dilemmas Test. The girls' parent perception factor scores did not relate to the Moral Dilemmas Test. (Author)

Recent laboratory work has suggested a defensive attribution interpretation of the attribution of responsibility following an accident. A questionnaire was devised concerning a campus stabbing incident in which one girl suffered severe consequences. Results were compatible with defensive attribution. (Author)
