Examines the relationship of conservatism to reports of sexual experiences and movie attendance. It was expected that high conservatives would report a lower frequency and range of sexual experiences and fewer experiences with R- and X-rated movies. Results support the hypothesis though cause-effect sequences are not clear. (Author)

A survey of attitudes concerning marijuana was conducted among law school students (N=245) at a southern university. General trends indicated were that a liberalization of attitudes is occurring and that there is acceptance, in a professional capacity, of the lawyer who uses marijuana. (Author)

Sexual attitudes and behaviors of a representative sample of single students at a California college were surveyed in spring 1972. Eighty-three percent of the males and 72 percent of the females reported premarital intercourse. This behavior is discussed in terms of its interpersonal context and the students' sexual attitudes. High school students (N=81) were surveyed regarding their attitudes on nine factors regarding the alcoholic and his alcoholism, and the drug abuser and his drug abuse. Analysis of the data indicated that on eight of the nine factors the students tended to view the two pathologies in essentially the same way. (Author)

This study correlated Templer's Death Anxiety Scale among 65 college students with their attitudes and behaviors toward the elderly. There was no evidence for the anxiety-denial hypothesis that fear of aging and death results in repression of ideas associated with aging and with rejection of the elderly. (Author)

The purpose of this paper is to suggest that the Semantic Differential Technique is an efficient and reliable instrument for measuring attitudes in drug education. Students from a graded school (N=22) and from a nongraded school (N=26) were given the "How I See Myself" self-concept scale.
