Johnson, Patrick B. – Psychology in the Schools, 1975
This experiment examined the impact of achievement motivation on the accuracy of self-reported grades. The author predicted that subjects high in achievement motivation would also be more likely to overestimate the degree of their success than low need achievers. Results supported the hypotheses. Differences in children's acceptance of occupational roles traditionally sex-typed by society were explored for a sample of 270 elementary school children.
