At the University of Iowa, a 5 percent random sample of the student population was surveyed concerning their use of alcohol. Of the student respondents, 33 percent reported a concern for the consequences of their drinking, and an equal proportion know of a student friend whom they thought had a drinking problem. (Author)

Tomeh, Aida K. – Journal of Marriage and the Family, 1978
Examines female and male sex-role orientation with emphasis on the structural and attitudinal predictors of sex-role ideology. Findings show sex-role orientation based on nontraditional wife-mother, husband-father and problematic husband-wife alterations roles elicted a significantly more modern response from females as compared to males. Ratings of vocational competence, marriageability, and interpersonal success were made by male and female subjects of a stimulus person described in a one-page, single-spaced biography. This study investigated the nature of sex differences among university students' attitudes toward rape. Results showed males were quite different from females in their attitudes and tended to support many myths regarding rape.
