The results presented here suggest that the teachers do change their behavior significantly due in part to children performing better than prior to treatment. Despite the change in teacher behavior, levels of attending to appropriate behavior were low enough to warrant intervention with the teacher. (Author)

A case study to determine the extent to which teacher decisions about students are influenced by teacher tolerance for students' behavioral characteristics revealed that teacher tolerances affected the ratings of an immature elementary student but not the ratings of an unmanageable elementary student, who was viewed more negatively overall.
