As the overall demographics are changing in post-secondary education, the importance of attracting and retaining transfer students into 4-year institutions is becoming more and more important. This is, however, a challenging shift for many institutions. Becoming a "transfer friendly" institution requires a multi-faceted approach that impacts every level of the institution. The work may be difficult, but the results can be worth the investments.
