ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, University of Kansas
The Learning Management System Madrasati has led to a huge shift in the school system, creating some challenge for teachers to include the amount and types of the training. Therefore, the purpose of this study investigates the impact of training on Saudi Arabian teachers' attitude towards using Madrasati. In addition, this study investigates whether the different types and amounts of training have an effect on teacher attitude and examines the relationship between teachers' attitude toward training, the amount and type of training, and teachers' attitude toward LMS Madrasati. It concludes with proposals for developing the types and amount of teacher training on the use of the LMS Madrasati platform from the users' point of view. Data was gathered via a survey given to teachers in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Analysis found that attitude toward Madrasati indicates that teachers to some extent hold a positive attitude of this statement and therefore a positive attitude toward LMS (M = 3.68 SD = 0.99). Attitude toward training on using LMS Madrasati was neutral (M = 3.47 SD = 0.76). The statistical data obtained from this study showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between the type of synchronous training online and the predictor of the teachers' attitude toward using LMS Madrasati ([beta] = 0.15 t = 2.44, p = 0.015, p < 0.05). Other statistical data obtained from this study showed that the training type of working with peers was a significant predictor of the teachers' attitudes toward using LMS Madrasati ([beta] = -2.66 t = -2.66, p = 0.008). Based on these results, the researcher recommends developing training programs to suit the trainees, and to provide a video of the electronic "Madrasati" platform. The final chapter details suggestions and proposals with the hope of promoting the adoption of Madrasati, and to elevate the consciousness of Madrasati with teachers, researchers, and decision makers in Saudi Arabia.
