Teachers have been confronting burnout even before COVID-19 appeared; however, with COVID-19, teacher burnout has amplified and persisted. Resilience is a component within individuals that exhibits endurance to burnout. One factor that could feasibly be a component of resilience is hope. Hope within the Positive Psychology framework is seen as a cognitive component that can impact an individual's perspective and cognition of obstacles that impact their obtainment of goals. This quantitative correlational study examines the complex interaction among hope, resilience, and burnout among elementary educators in the Southeastern region of the United States, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Adult Hope Scale, Brief Resilience Scale, and Work Related-Burnout Assessment Tool were utilized to quantify and examine these psychological constructs. Through detailed analysis and statistical assessments, compelling correlations were unveiled, underscoring the fundamental role of hope as a resilience factor against burnout among teachers. The results explained substantial positive links between hope and resilience, indicating heightened levels of hope accompanying bolstered resilience. Noteworthy negative associations between hope and burnout, as well as resilience and burnout, were also disclosed, signifying reduced burnout levels alongside elevated hope and resilience. These findings contribute significant insights, recommending tailored interventions to augment hope and resilience levels, thereby fortifying educators' well-being and perpetuating their endurance against burnout challenges. Emphasizing the pressing need to nurture hope and resilience as protective elements, this study furnishes crucial implications for educational institutions, offering a proactive stance in enhancing teachers' psychological fortitude and fostering a sustainable work environment conducive to professional fulfillment.
