A plan for improving the performance and quality of a school staff begins with the individual teacher's self-assessment and broadens to include small groups, schools, teacher centers, districts, consortia, and ultimately, regional support systems. (JD)

A graduate studies program conducted by the Center for Teaching International Relations at the University of Denver (Colorado) is described. The center trains inservice teachers in global education themes, concepts, and issues. Course titles are given, and factors considered important for the program's success are discussed. (PP)
