A study investigated the influences of the nature of the research, the offer of an honorarium, and the time required to participate in the research on teacher interest in participating in classroom research. Relationships between teachers' (N=740) psychological condition (burned-out, worn-out, or healthy) and their affective reactions to student success or failure were examined. Findings indicated that affects of anger, guilt, pride, and disappointment varied with and could be predicted from knowledge of teachers' psychological conditions. (IAH)

Classroom behavior of experienced and novice teachers was studied in terms of: (1) use of student cues; (2) instructional responses to cues; and (3) teachers' instructional goals and prior knowledge.
