Pocket computers are promoted as an inexpensive means of teaching computer programing, particularly in today's world where there are increasing difficulties of obtaining funds for new curriculum materials. Samples of programs written in BASIC that can be run on pocket computers are presented, and instruction in elementary grades is promoted. (MP)

Good computer simulations are those which make good use of the capability of the computer and which promote student decisions based on logic, observation, and their knowledge of the real world. (MP)

A process-oriented approach that can be highly successful in introducing students to computer systems concepts and terminology in an integrated manner is presented. (MP)

Before the end of this century, it is felt that students may be receiving all of their instruction from computers, with no contact with live teachers whatsoever. However, a new system is promoted that gives teachers new freedom of direction, with computers presenting material and eliminating the petty time-consuming work. (MP)
