Levine, Tamar – Studies in Educational Evaluation, 1994
An evaluation of a computer-based instructional and learning system in the sciences, the Rediscover Science Program, is described. Results from 40 classrooms with 1,153 students indicated the success of the program in fostering a classroom environment conducive to learning and in student achievement outcomes. (SLD)

The possibility of enhancing the comprehension of television news reporting through a school program of literacy education was studied in Italy with 60 7th graders and 50 11th graders. Results demonstrate that even brief critical viewing instruction can have an impact on student comprehension and attitudes. (SLD)
