Horgan, James S. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1980
The purpose of this study was to determine if performance and learning of mildly retarded children on a rotary pursuit task was facilitated by various types of supplementary, concurrent sensory feedback and if supplementary feedback presented during either correct or incorrect responding differentially affected motor learning. (Author/SJL)
Descriptors: Elementary Education, Feedback, Mild Mental Retardation, Perceptual Motor Learning
Singer, Robert N.; Gerson, Richard F. – Research Quarterly, 1981
The task classification scheme suggests that motor skills be categorized as the processing demands placed on a learner, feedback availability, and pacing conditions. Potential learning strategies were identified and defined in relation to the classification scheme. (JN)
Descriptors: Classification, Cognitive Processes, Decision Making, Feedback

Bird, Anne Marie; Rikli, Roberta – Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, 1983
Aspects of information feedback and practice conditions were studied to gain insight into processes underlying the observational learning of motor skills. A major purpose was to test whether subjects observing a practice variability strategy would perform better than those observing a model practicing under constant conditions. (Authors/PP)
Descriptors: College Students, Drills (Practice), Feedback, Learning Processes

Braverman, Barbara B.; DeCaro, James J. – Journal of Industrial Teacher Education, 1979
Summarizes research regarding psychomotor skill development in technical education and offers suggestions for teaching machine use skills. Four tables display data from various researchers' studies under headings for models for classifying the psychomotor domain, knowledge of results, type of feedback, and type of video feedback. (MF)
Descriptors: Equipment Utilization, Feedback, Learning Modalities, Literature Reviews
