McHenry, Hugh – AEDS Journal, 1980
Performance Learning (PL) is a new computer managed way of teaching precalculus college mathematics. Evidence suggests that students in PL classes had significantly higher course completion rates and achievement, and expressed fewer negative attitudes than students in the traditional lecture classes. Examined is a basic skills/remedial mathematics program at Medgar Evers College from 1978 to the present which uses computer assisted instruction and computer managed instruction.
