Kaufman, Alan S.; Hagen, John Van – Psychology in the Schools, 1977
Mentally retarded youngsters (N=80) aged 6 to 16, were tested on the WISC-R, primarily to assess the continuity of measurement between the old and new WISCs. There was evidence to support the continuity of the WISC-R with its predecessor for retarded populations. (Author)

Kaufman, Alan S.; And Others – Assessment, 1994
Data from 255 normal individuals were factor analyzed. Variables included subtests from the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R), the Kaufman Adolescent and Adult Intelligence Test (KAIT), and two new brief measures. Results are interpreted in the context of previous Horn analyses of the KAIT and WAIS-R. (SLD)

Kaufman, Alan S. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1975
The factor structure in this study was remarkably consistent across the age range, with three factors emerging for each group: Verbal Comprehension, Perceptual Organization, and Freedom from Distractibility. The results of the study are discussed in terms of their clinical applications, particularly interpretation of WISC-R profiles. (Author)

Kaufman, Alan S. – Psychology in the Schools, 1976
Scatter on the five specific scales in the McCarthy was examined to explore the types of ability profiles exhibited by normal children. Contrary to the common stereotype of "flat" profiles, normal children aged 2-1/2 to 8-1/2 years evidenced much variability in their performance on the various cognitive and motor dimensions. (Author)

The aim of this paper was to develop a simplification of Sattler's technique (in the form of a table) to make it easier to use and to apply to the Binet profile of any child tested. An illustration is included. (Author)

Kaufman, Alan S. – School Psychology Digest, 1979
A selective review of literature on the revised Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-R) is presented to relate research results to test interpretation. Included are inferences drawn from factor analyses, subtest specificity, subtest profiles for some exceptional populations assessment of minority group children, and IQ differences…

Kaufman, Alan S.; Kamphaus, Randy W. – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1984
The construct validity of the Sequential Processing, Simultaneous Processing and Achievement scales of the Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children was supported by factor-analytic investigations of a representative national stratified sample of 2,000 children.
