Items constructed like those of Mednick's Remote Associates Test (RAT) fall into distinct categories, which are shown to interact significantly with subjects and with subject groups determined on the basis of performance. The validity of a culture-specific modification/adaptation of the Remote Associates Test (RAT) made for Jamaica was examined with other measures of creativity in 11th grade students.
