In support of the construct validity of the revised scale, a high correlation was observed between the revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale (CMAS) and the trait anxiety inventory, whereas there was no significant correlation with the state anxiety inventory. (Author)

The WAIS M index did not correlate significantly with any of the other measures for either sex and thus should not be interpreted as a personality indicator of sexual inversion or homosexuality. It represents solely sex differences in certain aspects of intellectual performance. (Author)

Examined and compared the validity of Friedman's Developmental Level (DL) and Exner's Developmental Quality (DQ) as measures of cognitive development in children (N=134). Results supported the convergent and discriminant validity of both DL and DQ. The DL and DQ were most strongly related to different types of cognitive ability. (JAC)

Compared the performance of Caucasian kindergartners (N=60) on the Stanford Binet, the Leiter International Performance Scale, and the Metropolitan Achievement Test. Results confirmed that the LIPS measures mental traits similar to the SB, although some scores were different. The LIPS is especially useful with hearing or speech impaired children.…
