Plake, Barbara S.; And Others – 1981
The concurrent validity of the Achievement Anxiety Test (AAT) and its factor structure are investigated to provide empirical evidence about the quality of AAT. State and trait anxiety were measured by State and Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), mathematics anxiety was assessed by a 24-item revised version of the 98-item Mathematics Anxiety Rating…

Swanson, H. Lee; And Others – Journal of Special Education, 1989
The factor structure of the Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children was evaluated with 169 gifted students, aged 6-10. Results tentatively suggested that the factor solution for gifted students is dissimilar to that for the standardization sample, as subtests designed to assess sequential processing did not all load together, nor did those…

Gray, Mary McPhail; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1986
The 72-item Erikson Psychosocial Stage Inventory (EPSI) was factor analyzed for a group of 534 university freshmen and sophomore students. Seven factors emerged, which were labeled Initiative, Industry, Identity, Friendship, Dating, Goal Clarity, and Self-Confidence. Item's representing Erikson's factors, Trust and Autonomy, were dispersed across…

Platten, Marvin R.; Williams, Larry R. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1979
The Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale was administered twice to a sample of elementary school pupils and both sets of data were factor analyzed. Results led the authors to question the factor stability of the instrument. (Items are included). (JKS)

Wiedl, Karl Heinz; Carlson, Jerry S. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1976
Factor analysis of an administration of the Raven Progressive Matrices Test to children in grades 1, 2, and 3 revealed three orthogonal factors interpreted as (1) concrete and abstract reasoning, (2) continuous and discrete pattern completion, and (3) pattern completion through disclosure. Results are discussed in several contexts. (RC)
