Compared attitudes and perceptions of male (N=227) and female (N=54) graduate students in a college of veterinary medicine. Data presented shows a progressive reduction in North American veterinary student attrition from 12.8 percent in 1966 to 3.1 percent in 1974. The prediction is that with improved selection procedures and time-variable instructional programs the rate will drop and stabilize at approximately two percent. (JT)
