This paper evaluates and tests several theories of middle class delinquency. Arguments that middle-class boys are less delinquent and commit different kinds of delinquent acts than boys from other classes are not supported by the data. Wenz, Friedrich V. – Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, 1978
Attempted suicide is considered to be a form of deviant behavior. Multiple suicide attempts are evaluated within the labeling perspective. Specifically, it is determined if labeling theory can explain acts repeated suicide attempts. Labeling by family and friends was found to be significantly related to repeat. (Author)

Gundlach, Ralph H. – Journal of Homosexuality, 1977
Questionnaires from 225 homosexual and 233 heterosexual adult women revealed 115 cases of rape or attempted rape. Data from 78 follow-up questionnaires are summarized. About the same proportion of lesbians and heterosexuals, age 16 or over, were the object of rape. Inferences are drawn about the rapists' attitudes toward women. (Author)

Self-concept and adjustment data from anatomical males seeking sexual reassignment surgery were compared with that from a male homosexual group. Findings indicated that the homosexual group had a better self-image and was better adjusted than the sex change group. (Author)

Among the findings are that girls become more self-reliant and responsible than boys at an earlier age and that the non-social behavior of boys reflects their greater free time and lack of responsibilities. Depression, sociopathy, and Levenson's tridimensional locus of control orientation were studied in four groups of veteran male alcoholics, who varied as to degree of benefit from therapeutic programs, and a group of controls.
