The writing samples of high school and college students were scored using objective indices. The relationships between these indices and the scores earned on a standarized English test were determined. This study evaluated the reactions of college students to two types of drug education pamphlets. One type was a lengthy textbookish pamphlet. The other consisted of four brief, illustrated pamphlets. Parents from child-abuse and matched-control families were examined for variation of life-change scores, perceptions of physical and emotional health, and punitiveness of their own parents.
