This article deals with the description and use of a referral form for the behaviorally-oriented school psychologist in the elementary school. The advantages of using performance related descriptions of school problems are dealt with as well as the sequence of training necessary to use this type of form. (Author)

The author contends that psychology must have a sound basis if it is to develop properly, and a phenomenological perspective can provide a more adequate frame of reference. A wholly different way of looking at psychological subject matter and methods is being suggested and thus, standard natural scientific criteria are not applicable. (Author)

Desensitization or assertive training or both were applied to hospitalized schizophrenics who displayed phobias, lack of interpersonal assertiveness, or both. In none of the patients did desensitization produce any reduction of avoidance of the feared object. The assertive training produces minimal improvement in two patients. (Author)

Among the findings were: age was negatively correlated for both sexes; mentally ill females were significantly different from felons and from juvenile delinquents; and the personality picture corresponded well with expectations from studies with normals.…

The study results revealed a typical KTSA symbol pattern" for the criminals supporting the usefulness of the test for discriminative purposes.
