Teachers, attorneys and law educators met to evaluate 1971 workshops in law education and to plan improved learning experiences at future workshops. The use of mock trials, simulations, field trips, case methods, visiting speakers were discussed. Seven positive contributions of a summer institute workshop were recognized. (JB)

Presented are the history and underlying assumptions and theories upon which the Comprehensive School Mathematics Program (CSMP) is based. The purpose is to introduce the articles which follow it concerning the second international conference of CSMP which met to investigate the teaching of geometry. (JG)
