The study of 29 children, age 7 months to 16 years, with early treated phenylketonuria found no significant differences on speech and/or language measures when compared with controls matched for age, sex, and socioeconomic level. Investigates the effect of a school district's use of formal control mechanisms and the socioeconomic status of the district on principal-parent relations.
