Walberg, Herbert J.; And Others – Evaluation Practice, 1997
A computer program has been developed that analyzes data from interview transcripts, field notes, and other sources without a priori frameworks or the tedious categorizing of passages. The program finds repetitive association of words or ideas that characterize a verbal response corpus. An example of the program's use is given. (SLD)

Losee, Robert M. – Information Processing & Management, 1997
Proposes a model for digital library and hypermedia organizations that is adaptive, providing different conceptual orderings to support browsing for different individuals' or groups' needs. Nash, Philip Tajitsu – Amerasia Journal, 1997
Reviews the racial classifications used by the U.S. Census and explores the arguments for adding a "multiracial" category to Census data. It may be logical to question the need for any race and ethnicity criteria in the Census, but as long as racism exists, it is necessary to acknowledge it. (SLD)

Werth, James L., Jr. – Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, 1996
Reviews the concept of rational suicide and compares it with one researcher's list of commonalities of suicide. Claims that the list cannot accommodate rational suicide. Deak, Gedeon O.; Ray, Shanna D.; Pick, Anne D. – Developmental Psychology, 2002
Three experiments tested 3- and 4-year-olds' use of abstract principles to classify and label objects by shape or function. Findings indicated that 4-year-olds readily adopted either rule when instructed to match objects by shape or function, but 3-year-olds followed only the shape rule. Without a rule, 4-year-olds tended to match by shape unless…
