Using the PGC and LSI indices of adjustment to old age, an empirical typology of adjustors was developed. Cluster analysis was employed to locate three male types of adjustors: Low adjustors, Acceptors, and Fighters, and two female types: Low adjustors and Moderate adjustors. These findings were compared to previous typologies. (Author)

Pratt's measure C on the class concentration of bibliometric distributions is calculated and interpreted for the laws of Zipf, Mandelbrot, and Lotka and geometric distribution, and comparisons are made of the results. The Cognitive Triad of the Adaptive Behavior Scale (which considers economic activity, language development, and number/time concepts) correctly classified 78 percent of 77 institutionalized adults who had already been classified (by standardized intelligence tests) as profoundly, severely, or moderately mentally retarded.
