Witta, E. Lea – 2000
Because ignoring the missing data in an evaluation may lead to results that are questionable, this study investigated the effects of use of four missing data handling techniques on a survey instrument. A questionnaire containing 35 5-point Likert-style questions was completed by 384 respondents. Of these, 166 (43%) questionnaires contained 1 or…

Kim, Se-Kang; Davison, Mark L. – 2000
This study described an explicit multidimensional scaling (MDS) model for profile data, the Profile Analysis via Multidimensional Scaling (PAMS) model. It also illustrated the application of this model to the study of the structure of cognitive ability patterns using the Woodcock-Johnson Psychoeducational Battery-Revised (WJPB-R; 1989; 1991) and…

Dunham, Mardis D.; McIntosh, David E. – 1999
The primary goal of this study was to investigate the underlying structure of the Differential Ability Scales (DAS) using Exploratory Principal Axis Factoring (PAF) with 62 nonclinical preschoolers. While previous factor analyses of the DAS Core subtests revealed the derivation of two distinct factors, the current results revealed only one factor,…

Centra, John A. – Journal of Educational Psychology, 1972
Three methods of assessing college environment (student perceptions, student self-reports, and objective institutional data) were compared by use of multimethod factor analysis, a new technique which removes method variance by focusing on correlations between rather than within methods of measurement. McGue, Matt; And Others – Learning Disability Quarterly, 1982
The usefulness of the Woodcock-Johnson Psycho-Educational Battery (W-J) to assess learning disabled (LD) children was assessed. The W-J factor clusters could not be replicated with this LD sample, and little evidence was found of the validity of either the cognitive factor clusters or the aptitude factor clusters. Hafer, Marilyn; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1983
Data from the responses of 104 medical and rehabilitation students to the Attitudes toward Disabled Persons Scale-Form B (ATDP-B) were factor analyzed using a principal components solution, with particular attention to the problem of the number of factors to retain. Research supports ATDP-B use as a unidimensional measure. (Author/PN)
