Bang Quan Zheng; Peter M. Bentler – Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2022
Chi-square tests based on maximum likelihood (ML) estimation of covariance structures often incorrectly over-reject the null hypothesis: [sigma] = [sigma(theta)] when the sample size is small. Reweighted least squares (RLS) avoids this problem. In some models, the vector of parameter must contain means, variances, and covariances, yet whether RLS…

Gniewosz, Gabriela; Sticker, Regina M.; Paulus, Markus – European Journal of Developmental Psychology, 2023
Moral self-concept (MSC) is an important aspect of human morality and emerges in early childhood. It indicates how early children view themselves as moral agents. Yet, its structure and developmental patterns are unclear and require more research. This study addresses if the multidimensional structure of MSC is stable during early childhood and if…

Nikmard, Fateme; Tavassoli, Kobra; Pourdana, Natasha – Language Testing in Asia, 2023
The idea of sources other than the test-takers' knowledge leading to different results on high-stakes tests was the motif based on which the present investigation was initiated on the probable sources of unreliability of a test. For this purpose, the researchers went through a thorough literature review with the aim to identify the issues to be…

Hales, Katherine; Sriken, Julie; Erford, Bradley T.; Sherman, Martin F.; Smith, Heather – Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2023
The Social Justice Scale (SJS) and various subscales were studied on a sample of 414 human services university undergraduates. Internal consistency ([alpha] = 0.93), discriminant validity, and response bias were adequate. The 4-factor model demonstrated an excellent fit. Implications were discussed for use of the SJS in practice and research.
