Presents the procedures, results, and conclusions of a study designed to test the hypothesis of an invariant sequence of classificatory behavior in elementary school students. The study sought to evaluate the extent to which certain objective tests, ward behavior ratings, recorded verbalization scores, and interview behavior ratings possessed convergent and discriminant validity for 10 psychotic syndromes. A modified multitrait-multimethod validation matrix was generated to evaluate the construct validity of the Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS).
