Lewis, Charles; And Others – Psychometrika, 1975
A Bayesian Model II approach to the estimation of proportions in m groups is extended to obtain posterior marginal distributions for the proportions. The approach is extended to allow greater use of prior information than previously and the specification of this prior information is discussed. (Author/RC)

Willson, Victor L. – 1977
A major deficiency in classical test theory is the reliance on Pearson product-moment (PPM) correlation concepts in the definition of reliability. PPM measures are totally insensitive to first moment differences in tests which leads to the dubious assumption of essential tan-equivalence. Robinson proposed a measure of agreement that is sensitive…

Definition of the issues to the use of latent trait models, specifically one- and three-parameter logistic models, in conjunction with multi-level achievement batteries, forms the basis of this paper. Research results related to these issues are also documented in an attempt to provide a rational basis for model selection. The application of the…

The 35-item attitude scale was developed to test the hypothesis that male views of appropriate female behavior significantly influence the processes underlying females' career development. The rating scale is a Likert-type instrument and does not provide for a neutral response. The test is group administered, takes approximately 30 minutes, and is…

Zane, Thomas; Hursh, Daniel – 1979
A procedure was devised to assess the degree of reliability and validity of a behavior rating scale checklist used to evaluate parents' training skills with handicapped infants. Reliability was tested by independent observers viewing videotapes of training sessions and filling out checklist ratings of the parents' behaviors. Validity was assessed…
