Several authors have suggested that the presence of recording equipment inhibits the performance of helping personnel. Videotaping is generally thought to be more discomforting than audiotaping. Findings of this study, using 39 Bureau of Employment interviews and coached clients, contraindicate previous research and speculation. (Author)

As result of a four day T Group, significant gains were made on Barrett-Lennard Relationship Inventory. Three months later ratings by clients of group members revealed number of significant correlations. (Author)

The data suggest that high level practicum instructors are usually able to offset the effects of low level individual supervisors. The study again indicates that only those counseling trainees who come in contact with individuals functioning at high levels of facilitative conditions will themselves grow on these dimensions.
