Investigated influence of ego development on in-session cognitions of 27 supervisees at the same experience level, using the Sentence Completion Test (SCT) of Ego Development (Loevinger and Wessler, 1970). Results indicated no significant effects of ego level on time, place, focus, locus, or orientation of retrospections. (TE)

A study investigated costs and benefits to five pharmacists serving as preceptors of community pharmacy rotations by examining student work activities, cost of preceptor's time, and time saved by student work. In an Ontario pilot project, one elementary school became a teacher education center, the site of all practicum sessions for 18 student teachers, who were assigned in pairs. Reexamined Counselor Evaluation Rating Scale (CERS) using confirmatory factor analysis. Analyzed 185 self-rated CERs. Findings suggest that, when counselors use CERS to rate themselves, different factors may emerge from those emerging when experienced supervisors use CERS to evaluate supervisee progress and performance.
