Sherlock, Alan; Brand, Timothy – Mathematics Teaching, 1972
The use of Karnaugh maps in determining the number of elements in a set, in chains of reasoning, in comparing solutions of a problem, and in Boolean algebra is illustrated. For the first article in this series, see SE 507 074. (DT)

Hernandez, Norma G. – Journal for Research in Mathematics Education, 1973
An observation system was designed to describe cognitive aspects of teacher discourse that could be related to ATI interactions. Twelve videotaped lessons were analyzed using the system; 13 of 19 categories had correlations greater than .70. Percentages of discourse for the four eighth-grade teachers studied are presented. (MS)

Kulm, Gerald – Journal for Research in Mathematics Education, 1973
This critique points out some possible limitations of a previously reported study on the relative efficacy of two feedback modes during CAI instruction. Researchers are cautioned about using results to suggest classroom instructional practices. See also SE 508 622. (LS)
